Why this cream

Moisture that absorbs, not buildup that sits.

Mature locs get thirsty. The older and more tightly bound a loc is, the harder it is for moisture to reach the strands held inside it. Most loc creams answer that with heavy butters and oils — soft for a day, buildup by the end of the week.

This cream takes the other route. It's built on a water-and-aloe base, so hydration goes in first, then carried by jojoba and avocado — two of the lightest plant oils, the kind that absorb rather than coat. It refreshes moisture from root to tip and sinks into the loc instead of sitting on top of it.

The herbs are infused directly into the avocado oil: marshmallow root for slip and softness, nettle and horsetail for silica and scalp support, calendula and chamomile to calm. Marshmallow is the quiet workhorse here — its natural mucilage is what gives the cream its slip and its staying moisture, with none of the weight.

Glycerin and aloe hold water at the strand. Jojoba, closest of all the plant oils to the scalp's own sebum, keeps everything light. A whisper of lavender, sweet orange, and cedarwood — nothing loud.

Use it daily, or any day your locs feel dry. Smooth it through, root to tip, and let it do its work.

No grease. No buildup. Just moisture that lasts.

Questions, answered

The gel sets and holds; the cream moisturizes. Reach for the cream between wash days to refresh dryness and soften, and the gel when you want definition and hold. They're built to work together.

No. It's built on light, absorbing oils over a water-and-aloe base, so it refreshes moisture and disappears into the loc instead of coating it — and it rinses clean at wash day.

Both. Apply to damp locs after washing, or to dry locs any day they feel thirsty. A little goes a long way — start small, especially on finer locs.
