Perfumes

Perfume made from the plants themselves.

Most perfume is a formula pretending to be a flower. These are the other kind — made from the plants, drawn out slowly, and bottled without anything that didn't grow.

Each one is built the way the old apothecaries built scent: whole herbs covered in cane alcohol and left to give up what they have, true absolutes used at an honest concentration, and the plants' own waters to open the blend. Nothing synthetic, nothing to make it stay longer than the plants already do.

Nymphaea is blue lotus over mugwort and vanilla — a floral-earth perfume for the threshold hours, soft and close and long-wearing.

Jardin del Año is a floral Florida water made from a year of garden flowers, opened with orange blossom, lavender, and geranium waters — a mist for the skin, the room, and the floor wash, different every year.

Perfume made from the plants themselves. Wear what grew.
